Captain Octopus Towing is a locally owned and operated towing and roadside-assistance company serving communities across Oahu. Owner and operator Matt Milyak has called Hawaii home for the last 25 years and has built his life around serving others, working on the ocean, and responding to the needs of his community.
Meet Captain Matt
Before taking the wheel of Captain Octopus Towing, Matt established himself as a certified waterman, big-wave surfer, and experienced charter boat captain. Through Hawaii Whale Tale Tours, he shares his knowledge of Hawaiian waters and ocean wildlife while providing private fishing, whale-watching, and ocean-adventure charters from Haleiwa.
Matt brings the same qualities required on the ocean—safety, preparation, sound judgment, and respect for people and equipment—to every towing job. Whether someone needs roadside assistance, vehicle transport, or help getting a disabled vehicle to a home, repair shop, or dealership, his goal is to provide straightforward communication and dependable service.

Captain Octopus Towing grew from Matt’s desire to expand the services he provides on Oahu and respond to a practical community need. As a mobile service-area business, we travel directly to our customers. We understand that vehicle problems can be stressful and inconvenient, so we work to make the towing process as clear and manageable as possible.
Captain Octopus Towing is built on local experience, hard work, and the aloha spirit. From the ocean to the road, Matt is proud to serve the island community he has called home for more than two decades.
